Welcome to Dry Eye Science, an educational site for eye care practitioners. The purpose of this site is to provide you with a clinical approach to the dry-eye patient based on science. There are many textbooks and lectures that provide lists of diagnostic tests and lists of treatments. Here we aim to provide you with a perspective on, and even more importantly, an approach to these patients based on an understanding of the mechanisms and natural history of dry-eye discomfort and disease.
